Top Photo is of Charlie and Sadie (Sabra) Peterson and the granddaughter, Eileen Maine Monroe and her husband, Jack Monroe. The bottom photo is of Charlie and Sadie's son, Basil and his dog. Basil was mute although he could make noises which could be understood. He didn't have a problem with his hearing. Apparently there was a school in Bellville to help children with these problems but Basil was never sent there. These photos were taken on the farm in Bloomfield, Ontario--probably in the 1930s. --information supplied by Georgi Sills in an email dated 11 February 2001
